Liam Neeson is one of the most popular actors of Hollywood who started his career as a teacher in St Mary’s Teaching College , Newcastle. He made his theatre debut in the “Risen People”. Two years later he appeared in the Dublin’s Abbey Theatre where he performed classics.

Liam Neeson was born on June 7^th  1952 Ballymena , Northern Ireland to Katherine Brown who worked as a cook and Bernard  Neeson, a school caretaker. He was married to Natasha Richardson who died in a tragic ski accident in 2009. Liam Neeson has two sons Danial and Michael.

Liam got his first film experience with the film Pilgrim’s  Progress in 1978 which was a religious film where he played the role of Jesus Christ and Evangalist. During the 80s Liam Neeson appeared in some of the films such as The Bounty, A woman of substance, The Mission and Duet for one.

His role in the movie Suspect where he played a homeless man gained good reviews and it was here that Neeson started gaining popularity in Hollywood. After having worked in numerous films after this, he finally came to the notice of Steven  Spielberg and was cast by him to work in Schindler’s List as Oskar Schindler.

The Oscar winning movie, Holocaust fetched Neeson Academy Award, Bafta and Golden Globe nomination for the best actor award. Anna Christie was his platform for his first Broadway debut where he co- starred with his wife Natasha Richardson.

In 1999 he starred in the very famous Star Wars – episode 1, The Phantom Menace where he starred as Qui –Gon Jinn. In 2005 he played the role of the mysterious Ducard  in Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins. It was Liam Neeson who played the voice of  Aslan in the Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch in the Wardrobe in 2005.

Neeson was awarded for his service to drama as the Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 1999 Queen’s New Year Honours List . He was also chosen by the Empire Magazine as one of the 100 sexiest stars in the film industry.
