Mädchen Amick is an American actress popularly known for her role in Twin Peaks, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me and Sleepwalkers. She was born on 12th December 1970 in Naveda, the U.S. to Judy (a medical office manager) and Bill Amick (musician).

The actress was encouraged by her parents to follow her creative instincts. Amick learned to a piano, guitar, bass, violin, ballet, jazz, and modern dance. In order to pursue a career in acting, Mädchen moved to Los Angeles. The actress began her career with a guest role in 1989 released Star Trek: The Next Generation and 1989 released Baywatch.

She got her first break with TV series Twin Peaks in which she was picked by director David Lynch to play the role of waitress. She was nominated for Saturn Award for Best Actress for her role of Lena Mathers in 1993 released Dream Lover. The actress got married to David Alexis which is a songwriter by profession in 1992. They both have a song and a daughter.
