Zac Efron, a popular actor & singer from America, was born in San Luis Obispo, California on 18th October 1987 to David Efron, an electrical engineer & Starla Baskett, a secretary. He has a younger brother named Dylan. He graduated from Arroyo Grande High School in 2006. He also went to Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts, a community college, where he performed as a young player during 2000 and 2001.
Efron began professional acting career during the early 2000s with few cameos in TV series like Firefly, ER and The Guardian. In 2004 he starred in a recurring role in another TV series named Summerland. He came into the limelight for the film series High School Musicals in 2006 – 2008 which also earned him the Teen Choice Award for Breakout Star. His other acclaimed film was the 2007 film Hairspray.
